Tuesday of Tuesdainess

I'm in a really good mood today. I feel a LOT better. It's sunny but not yet hot in the office. I finally got some time to organize my desk better after doing the "move all my stuff in and put it anywhere near my cube" dance. My co-workers, I think, are also in a pretty good mood today, as we've been joking around and having a pretty good time a little more than usual. (My co-workers are actually pretty fun on a normal day, what with the random breaks into song, impromptu cardboard-tube fights, and general banter.) Looking around the Studio I feel calm and content, and now that my workspace is clean I feel like I can take on anything.

This morning I had a brainwave and checked the spare change tin, where I found four crumpled ones hanging out with the coins. Why, hello mocha-to-be! Naughty Indian Girl and I giggled our way down to the Starbucks. Her in-laws have finally left for home, and she and Mr. Naughty Indian are very happy to have some time alone. (So happy that last night they bought a 12 pack of beer and went to bed at 7pm without even getting supper. Went to bed and slept, for real.)

Tonight is calling the sister night, which is cool. We are both scatterbrained enough to need to schedule things like this on a regular basis or we forget to do it at all. She's finally getting to go to Russia, which is amazing since not very many Russian students graduate without going. She's combining her love of working with kids (still not sure where that came from, but hey, if she's happy!) with her need to finally get that russkii closure and is going to pretty much be a summer camp counselor for a small orphanage along with 3 or 4 other amerikanskii volunteers.

Hubby comes home tonight!

Also, my life is intersecting with the webcomics I read. Very, very strange.

Dude, the Aubrey thing: sorta freakly, but ultimately cool.
