We just got our PODS thingy! Note, our delivery time was "between 8am and 11am and it is well before 8am. The delivery guy said that if we had remembered to move our car last night (which of course, we hadn't) he could have dropped it off and not had to wake us up. The whole delivery process took about 15 minutes and only one guy. The truck was a regular hefty flatbed, but there was a framework (with its own hydraulics system) sitting over the bed. He backed the truck into our driveway and the framework set down its legs (with two tires on the bottom of each leg) just on each side of the driveway. The guy then hooked four chains to the bottom of the PODS at each corner. The framework then lifted the PODS straight up about two feet and the guy drove the truck out from underneath it, parking it in front of our house. He went back and lowered the framework and PODS down to the driveway and unhooked the chains. Then he raised the framework so it cleared the top of the PODS and the entire framework was "driven" (for lack of a better word) out to the street so he could back the truck under it and realign the framework so it would ride on the back of the truck.

And now it's time to go back to bed!
