Well, well, well.

Hubby has just left to put a deposit on an apartment. We'd move in July 15.

Time to start packing and get this home-sale show on the road. Anyone want to live next to some rednecks and a psychotic dog?

I am ashamed to say that we'll be moving into one of those yuppified "apartment home communities", but at this point if we don't have to mow the grass, big dogs are banned, and I'm not living next to Cletus and his four-gajillion offspring, I'll be happy. Hell, I'm already downright giddy at the prospect, and have been grinning and bouncing in my seat like it was Ice Cream Day at the Home!

We looked for apartments downtown, but again, too expensive, just like the housing. Oh well. We are at least full-paid Co-Op owners as of this afternoon, so that helps to balance it out. (Shop Good Foods!!) Oh, and it's on the bus line, so we can still decrease our carbon footprint by using our car less and taking the bus to work!

So, this means we can sell the house without fixing the roof and give the buyers an allowance (price reduction) for it. The three thousand dollars we've saved will go towards moving, security deposit, pet deposit, etc. When hubby gets back we're going to clean the kitchen and pack everything but 2 plates, 2 glasses, 2 mugs, etc. And then tomorrow I'll start packing books!

Everyone I know with a truck: you are on notice! (I will bribe you with generous amounts of pizza and beer!)

Sadly I am now.

My once-quiet street has been overrun.

My mantra is "I am a kindler, gentler George... I am a kindler, gentler George... I am a kindler, gentler George..."

Okay, Matt has the truck. He'll take the pizza, I'll take the beer. Wait, no, cross that out. I'll be having rum, thankyouverymuch.

GEORGE! *clap clap bounce bounce*

Dude, aren't you a nurse yet??

I feel your pain. This place we're moving into is a mite expensive for young couples with kids, and if a young couple with kids could afford it, they'd buy instead of rent. It seems to be grad students, young professionals, and retirees.

And Renee, never fear. There is ALWAYS rum at Chez Stewart-Logan.

Congrats on the move!! Here's volunteering moving home, when said time comes =) So where is this place, eggzachary?

Congrats also! Let us know when you need us to show up with our trucks...
