Welcome, Fall!

Yesterday the weather was so gorgeous I thought I would fall down and die on the spot. Unbelievable! If only every day could be like that. I love fall, it's my most favoritest time of the year, and October is my most favoritest month. (Yes, I know it's not October yet. I'm linear-time challenged but not that challenged.)

My dad had some "chest discomfort" over the weekend and had a cardiac cath yesterday, but no one can find anything wrong. Which is good, I suppose, but it bothers me that they can't explain what happened. Dad's very calm about the whole thing, very que sera, sera, and while I completely agree with him, the fact that he's MY DAD makes it harder to find my zen.

I went to SNB for the first time in forevah yesterday, which was so very nice. We had a good time, broke into spontaneous "There's a hole in the bucket, dear Eliza, dear Eliza," and there was excellent hummus, bread, veggies, scones, and banana bread that had no walnuts. I know I shouldn't be so excited over banana bread, but I've only ever had it about twice because it always has nuts, and I never remember to make my own. A new (to the SNB) knitter brought it and she got the recipe from Food Network, so she shared the link. I will pass this happy on here. Substitute semisweet chocolate chips for the walnuts and you have the best banana bread ever. I got home about 9:30 and went to bed soon after that, so I woke up feeling recharged this morning.

Two weeks till Yarn School! Two and a half weeks till gettin' mah tubes tied! (Dear Senators, that does not mean I'm losing my internet connection.) Three weeks till my and Hubby's 9th anniversary! Six weeks till Halloween! Squee!

Is it honestly that time of year again already? Sigh!

My grandma (who had 3-4 bypasses, can't remember) has had chest pain a few times in the past year (her bypass was about 10 years ago), and each time it's turned out to be acid reflux. So have them look into that, if they haven't already!
