Attic Bedroom

Last night was the first night we slept in the attic bedroom and it was pretty nice! The a/c unit keeps the temp at 75 degrees. I still haven't made the reflective-insulation skylight covers, so once that is done I'm sure it will be easy to get the temp even lower since it won't get so hot in there during the day. Also, the a/c provides white noise so we don't hear the cats yowling. (I'm just assuming they yowled, since they have been about every three days or so.) Now we just need to spruce it up a bit: get rid of the tools and boxes from the a/c, find a nice platform for the mattress, etc. Once it gets cooler we can turn the a/c off completely (it's off during the day for now), and when it gets cold we have several electric heaters to chose from. I like it!

(P.S. We also gave up our parking pass and bought bus passes, so this morning was my first - Hubby's second - day to start riding the bus to work! If we leave our house at 7:15 there's a two minute walk and a five minute wait for the bus, and it drops us off right in front of KY Clinic, which is about another two minute walk to our offices.)
