And it was a lovely four days off!

I only wish there had been more of them.

Generally speaking, there was a lot of napping, a lot of reading, a lot of Guitar Hero III (thanks, Phillip and Robyn!), and a lot of knitting. The black bean lasagna was really good (though of course I have designs on changing it next time), and the banana bread needed just a little more chocolate and about 5 more minutes of cooking time, but was not what one might call a failure by any means. I hung out with Janis most of Friday. Sunday we had Thanksgiving with half of The Fam. They had some games but we didn’t win anything, which I’m torn about. I like to win, after all, and there were prizes, but I’m also pretty thankful that I didn’t have to bring more stuff home. (You know how I like to collect mugs until I have a ridiculous amount and must then pare them down by giving the unused ones to Goodwill.) Birthday gifts to Granny and the SIL were well-received, though next year I must remember to coordinate with Hubby’s parents. Oh, and we finally got to use a gift certificate to a store in Midway that my SIL had given us almost a year (or maybe more?) ago. Lots of Cadbury Flake came come with us... yum! (Also, btw, leftover turkey on pumpernickel is awesome. I mean, I didn’t think it would be bad, but it just hit the spot perfectly.)

You can tell how scattered I am. Sorry!

I wish I could do it all again this week, but it’s just a regular weekend. There will be more Fam activities on Saturday. I can’t decide if I should throw in a copy of my book as a present for our Round Robin game or not. I feel like I always bring weird things and then my father-in-law has to rescue my feelings by going after what I brought (which I appreciate, but he doesn’t just need more stuff either). Also, this is the side of The Fam where my “bitch, bitch, bitch” story fell very flat (*glares at hubby for making me tell it*) so, ya know, consider my eyeball shawl and I will be playing Lead Alien #1 already.

Oh! Zombies are attacking, gotta go!

You could throw in a "Yield to the vagina" t-shirt with the eyeball shawl...that could make a fairly funny time. :)
