La Fin de la Semaine (aka Le Week-end) et le Lundi

I was on a roll after defeating so much clutter on Nov. 1. Friday we had some scheduled downtime in preparation for Operation Seriously Now, Y'all Need To Unpack.

Saturday we were up early at attacked the house. No more living in boxes for Team Stewart-Logan! We worked methodically from the living room forward to the front door, and I'll be damned if there isn't a whole room over by the front door. A whole room even with a piano, two djembes, and a bass guitar in it. How did we get so many instruments? Neither of us is exactly musical.

Sunday we moved the assault up the stairs and into the craft room. The craft room (/office/library/guest room) took the brunt of "oh crap, what do we do with this?" from Saturday, but we soldiered bravely forth. We moved two bookshelves and rearranged books. I swear, later this winter, I am going to go back and rearrange them according to Library of Congress catalog numbers. Me and are also going to very intimate.

We moved the desk, we moved the futon, we installed the mini-fridge (thanks, Colleen!)... and now we just have to deal with the approximately 15 totes of random stuff that is left over. DVDs and CDs are a particular problem, as we're moving towards digital so the 'hard copy' versions aren't going to be gracing any shelves downstairs.

After dealing with the totes, it will be guest-ready, which is good because Matt Maggiacomo is going to be staying with us on November 13th! (Anyone who wants to come to the concert can get details here: The Whomping Willows in Lexington)

In AntiCraft news, Ne has stepped down as tech editor for The AntiCraft. She is going back to school and focusing on her writing, so she doesn't really have time. We've put out a call for a replacement (or replacements) and I'll be auditioning them later this month. And, of course, the book comes out on November 30. We're having a release party December 7 at 3rd Street Stuff (time TBA), and on December 8, Ne and I will be a JoBeth signing copies from 1-4pm with an afterparty at ReBelle (time TBA). So, lots going on there!

Tomorrow I'm making lasagna for dinner. Mmmmmmmmm!

Woooo lasagne. Maybe I should step up and try doing that sometime soon. Sounds so yummy with the chill weather.

Is there a bed for sleeping on in the guest room. Just askin'...

I would volunteer to help with the tech editing, but I don't know anything about crochet or some of the other crafts out there.
