Mmmm... sleep! Food! Friends!

Took a mental health day yesterday since I had been getting no sleep (and got even less the night of the tornadoes) and worked on the book proposal some, had a nice long nap (VERY long), and a good hot shower.

Hubby and I met with Janis and her boy at Mellow Mushroom. Seriously, that place is fast becoming my favorite in town. The food is excellent (but slow, so when you there you know there's no reason to hurry - very relaxing), I can sit comfortably at a booth, they have cider on tap and the music is awesome! (Pink Floyd played twice while we were there and neither song was "Money" nor "Another Brick in the Wall."

We then met up with SB at Coffee Island (a little too student-y for my tastes, but during the summer I can totally see meeting there; also, the bathrooms are tiled just like I'd love to have mine done) for a good long stretch of knitting and babbling. Mucho fun! I am almost done with the first sk of my reversible cable shawl and have a good 12 inches in length, which is good because I was a bit worried if I was going to have enough yarn.
