Christmas Meme

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper and fabric ribbons.

2. Real tree or Artificial?
No tree.

3. Why are you willing to answer these questions?
Brain is too awake to sleep just yet.

4. When do you take the tree down?
No tree = no taking tree down issue.

5. Do you like eggnog?
Not really.

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
Porcelain doll head on a pillow.

7. Hardest person to buy for?
Hubby's mother.

8. Easiest person to buy for?
Hubby.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
That's a big NO.

10. Do you send your card by mail or e-mail?
Snail mail.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Porcelain doll head on a pillow.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
A Christmas Story

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
I don't really shop for Christmas anymore. It's kinda nice.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Yes.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?

16. Lights on the tree?
No tree.

17. Favorite Christmas song?

18.Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Depends. If it's my year for Christmas we always stay home and sleep late and have a pancake breakfast at about 2pm.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer’s?
There is no way in which that can be answered. Now, I can name all of Santa's reindeers' names, or I can name all of Santa's reindeers. Is that what you meant?

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
No tree, but back when trees did happen, we used a cardboard star covered in tin foil.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Morning. You Eve openers are greedy.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
Unbridled greed and rampant consumerism.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
Natural stuff. Holly and greenery.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
Nochabuena yummies: garlic-lime pork loin, black beans, rice, Cuban bread if I'm feeling really domestic.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?
For it to go away forever and people to realize that 1) Christ was not born on Dec 25, 2) if you are going to be generous you should spread it out because there is need all year long, and 3) there is nothing--NOTHING--in a Wal-Mart worth being trampled to death for.
