Quiet Day

I woke up early, my stomach aching from late-night pancakes. And I do mean early folks. The sun had not yet risen. Luckily most of my internet friends are complete freaks morning people. I took this pic after a little bit of chatting, in order to explain WHY it was much to early to play Settlers of Catan online. It's not even like was in the office to avail myself of the coffee my the programmers keep freshly preparing! I had to make tea! Myself! Imagine a zombie making tea. That was me this morning at o'dark-thirty. (Note to self: We are out of Irish Breakfast.)

7:26 a.m.

After tea we played some Scrabble. Then I half-dozed for about an hour until Hubby got up. We puttered around, him cleaning and I cooking. My stomach decided to get more forceful, which made me wonder if it was the leftover calzone rather than the pancakes... or maybe the combination? At any rate, I canceled all further plans for the day. Hubby went off to watch Doctor Who Series 4 with friends. I eventually got a nap and a shower, and finally, about 12 hours after originally waking up, I felt human. This led to some very mellow anime watching + knitting, which brings me to now.

I have a headache. Apparently I've forgotten to take my BP pills today, for all Tim's insistence. Hubby came home with one as well; I suspect because he hadn't had anything real to eat all day.

So, pretty much anything before 10am and after 7pm has not been a bad day at all. The bits in the middle were questionable, but the rest have had either good people or quiet restfulness.

That's the cue for me to come down with a crazy insomnia/cabin fever combo, isn't it? Oh well. It was nice while it lasted!
